Biho (fl.1900 - 1910 )
Biho is most recognized for his depictions of the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905). He designed propaganda posters with the publisher Matsuki Heikichi under the name Yoshikuni. Like many of his contemporaries, Biho also worked for newspapers and magazines, lending his descriptive style to his journalistic illustrations. While Biho is primarily known for his senso-e (war prints), he also completed quietly elegant bird-and-flower prints, kacho-e.
