SELL OR CONSIGN YOUR ART
Ronin Gallery works with clients worldwide to facilitate the outright purchase or consignment of individual works and collections. The valuation of fine art is determined by many factors - the artist, condition, state or edition of the work, overall design, rarity and the art market at any given time. Whether you are selling a select work or an entire collection, we are always happy to help. Here’s what we will need from you:
Images of the works – a photo taken with your phone is fine. If you have a large collection, please select a few representative works to photograph. For best results, take your images in good light and, if possible, remove your art from the frame. The better your image and the more works you include, the more accurate our initial assessment.
Object history, such as provenance or sales history. How did this work come to be part of your collection?

After you submit your photographs, you can expect a call or email from one of our experts. We will answer inquiries as quickly as we can, but please be patient. If we are interested the collection, we may request further information such as detailed images of the front and back, any signatures, seals and notable condition problems as well as sales records, appraisals, or letters of authenticity that you may have.
In order to assess your work fully, we generally have to view it in the gallery. We will contact you to set up an appointment for you to bring the works to our Bryant Park gallery or we may request that you ship the work to the gallery. We are happy to offer advice on the safe transport of your art. Our experts will provide their valuation, whether in person, over the phone, or through email to discuss outright sale or consignment options with you. These initial valuations are tentative.
Outright Purchase: Ronin Gallery may offer to buy your work outright. In this case, all payments will be made to the client immediately through check or bank transfer.
Consignment: If you decide to consign your work, you will come to an individual agreement with Ronin Gallery that defines sales prices, period of consignment, and marketing strategy. The gallery will then catalogue and photograph the work and present you with a formal consignment contract. Once you sign this contract, Ronin Gallery will proceed with the chosen sales strategy. You can rest assured that your works are protected by Ronin Gallery Insurance throughout the duration of the consignment period.
