Watanabe, Sadao (1913-1996) View Works

An exceptional artist of the twentieth century, Sadao Watanabe 渡辺禎雄 worked primarily in Japanese stencil printing portraying Christian themes. His work centers on scenes from the bible rendered in a humorous, Japanese style. He is renowned both in Japan and the West and his work can be found in collections from the Vatican to the Tate Gallery in London.
