Yoshimitsu was an Osaka artist active from roughly the 1850s through 1870. Born Sasamoto Kazo, Yoshimitsu studied under Utagawa Yoshitaki (1841-1899). His known works are mainly chuban-size (7.5 x 10 in) yakusha-e, or actor prints.
