Tetsuro Sawada (1935 – 1999) was born in Hokkaido and graduated from Musashino Art University with a Major in Western painting. After university, he moved away from painting and started to produce abstract lithographs and silk screen prints. The style of his work is clean and precise, combining matt and glossy color schemes to great effect. His work is renowned worldwide and featured in prominent museums, including the British Museum.
