About the artist
Born in 1941 in Kanazawa, Takao Sano is a member of the Japan Artists Association. He has received several awards from domestic and foreign institutions such as the Nihon Hanga-in, Nippon Exlibris Association, and International Federation of Ex Libris Societies. Today, many of his woodblock print designs, including the Rock Garden at Ryoanji Art, are published by S. Watanabe in Tokyo.
