About the artist
Kunihisa (1832-1891) was a ukiyo-e printmaker living in Yokohama. The pupil and son-in-law of Kunisada, he often collaborated with his master, creating the landscape background for Kunisada’s figures. An early member of the Yokohama school, Kunihasa sepcialized in and is best known for his landscapes.
