Dear friends, clients, and artists,
With the hottest days of summer behind us, the cool reprieve of fall is just around the corner and with it, an exciting new season at Ronin Gallery.
The first half of 2016 brimmed with dynamic exhibitions and ventures. We began the year with Yoshitoshi Mori, embarked on cross-cultural exploration of ukiyo-e and Toulouse-Lautrec for Asia Week, and spent the summer presenting Japan’s exciting contemporary talents. New collaborative ventures included a major exhibition with the Muscarelle Museum and the successful launch of the Ronin | Globus Artist-in-Residence Program.
With September upon us, the excitement shows no signs of slowing down. I am pleased to announce our diverse exhibition schedule for the rest of 2016:
- September 16th through October 22nd, we will present Yoshitoshi’s complete series 100 Views of the Moon, all in exceptional condition. Come celebrate with us during a very special Harvest Moon opening reception on September 16th.
- October 27th through December 3rd, in conjunction with Contemporary Asian Art Week, Sebastian Masuda invites you to trade the greyscale of daily life for a movingly vibrant spectrum of color in True Colors.
- In November, let the masters of ukiyo-e guide you through the mysterious and illusory world of the Yoshiwara in Courtesans of the Yoshiwara: Twelve 18th Century Masterpieces, featuring rare works ranging from Harunobu to Utamaro.
- In December, we’ll explore the timeless landscapes of Hasui and look forward to our annual holiday gift collection.
For updates and upcoming events, stay in touch with us through our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We love to hear from you and appreciate your feedback.
All the Best,
