Adapting to the Pandemic
After more than three months of lockdown, New York City entered Phase 2 of a citywide reopening this past Monday. As our team transitioned to remote work over these difficult months, we continued to curate weekly online exhibitions, champion our contemporary artists, and identify new works to bring to market. We also took the past few months to consider how to adapt to an increasingly digital world and have been working with Oracle to optimize our online experience (more information to follow). As we keep our eyes on New York City’s viral curve, we have decided to err on the side of caution in terms of our physical gallery and will be limiting in-person interaction. Starting June 30th, we will be offering curbside pickup by appointment on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays while we plan a safe reopening in the hopefully not-so-distant future. If you had selected in-gallery pickup on an order placed over the last month, we will reach out to you to make arrangements.
Though we can’t wait to welcome you back into our Bryant Park home, the safety of our team and our collectors remains our top priority. Phase 2 signals a sense of freedom, tantalizing after months of lockdown, however, I know we must be patient and remember how we reached this point. By staying home, social distancing and wearing masks, New Yorkers came together to lower the curve, but we can’t forget the many lives lost and the significance of our essential workers’ sacrifice. Due to the serious threat that the virus still holds, the gallery will keep our physical doors closed for a bit longer.
I am immensely grateful for the support of all of our friends. Your continued enthusiasm and purchases have enabled the gallery to adapt to these difficult times. Ronin Gallery is built on a shared passion for the art – a passion that has not wavered in these most difficult of circumstances. We look forward to welcoming you back in the gallery shortly, but in the meantime, stay safe and we will get through this together.
