Born in Manchuria, ShinodaToko 篠田桃紅 is a world famous abstract artist. While she explores the medium of brush painting and printing, her preference is lithography. Her work has earned her an international reputation of such stature that Time magazine compared her accomplishments to those of Picasso. Her abstract lithographs can be found in major art collections around the world, such as the British Museum and the Museum of Modern Art New York.
