Norikane, Hiroto (1949 - Present)
Born in Hiroshima prefecture, Hiroto Norikane graduated from Sokei Academy of Fine Arts. During his formative years, he studied under Hodaka Yoshida and Kiyomi Kato before establishing himself in the genre of mixed media rural printing. Using etching and mezzotint, his designs concentrate on scenes of rural Japan, as well as other studies of traditional Japanese subject matter. With numerous solo exhibitions worldwide, Norikane has an earned international fame.
