Namiki, Hajime (1947 - Present)
Hajime Namiki was born in Tokyo. He studied sculpture under the famous Shigeru Ogura, before becoming a woodblock print artist. Namiki's work is highly innovative as he pushes to find new techniques to depict familiar subjects from nature. His style is based on the use of a limited palette, using both silver and gold leaf. Hajime Namiki's prints can be found in numerous collections including the White House and the LA County Museum of Art.
