Choki (fl. c.1781 - 1813 )
Choki Eishosai was an ukiyo-e artist active around the turn of the 19th century. While little is known about his early life, Choki studied under Sekien Toriyama (1712-1788). Choki focused primarily on bijin-ga prints, or “pictures of beautiful women.,” but also designed kacho-e prints, or “bird and flower prints,” and books illustrations. His works may be signed Choki, Eishosai, or Shiko.
