Kidokoro, Sho (1934 - 1988 )
Sho Kidokoro was born in Tokyo and studied at Waseda University, graduating in 1957. His style and technique evolved throughout his career as he mastered the woodblock print. He depicts a variety of subject matter in his prints, achieving particular acclaim for his still life studies. A self-taught artist, Kidokoro developed a global reputation over his lifetime, exhibiting his work across Asia, Europe and North America.
