Horie, Ryoichi (1943 - Present)
Ryoichi Horie is a contemporary Japanese artist known for his colorful abstract prints. Horie was born in 1943 in Aichi prefecture. In 1966, he graduated from Tokyo University of Arts. His printing style uses precise geometric forms which feature rounded shapes in a solid or gradually graded color scheme. His compelling abstract works have helped firmly establish him in Japan, where his work has been work featured in exhibitions at Nichido, Nihon Hanga Kyokai and the CWAJ.
