About the artist

Joining the Suzhou Taohuawu Chinese Woodcut Printmaking School in 1979, Lu Ping developed an international audience by 1983. Exhibiting his work in Italy, Canada, Japan, Sweden and the U.S., his work holds a universal appeal. Raised in Suzhou, many of Lu Ping's artworks present the winding canals and countless bridges of his hometown.
