About the artist
Eizin Suzuki is a contemporary Japanese printmaker known for his bright lithographs and silkscreens. Born in Hakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, Suzuki developed a distinct style defined by bright colors, bold lines, flat planes, and a palpable sense of wanderlust. Thematically, his work explores vacation locales, from United States to the South of France. Suzuki began his career in advertising design, working as both a designer and art director before his debut as an illustrator in 1980. His illustration ranges from album covers to magazines. However, Eizin Suzuki developed an international following through his prints. He has actively exhibited his work since 1985, when he held his first solo exhibitions of his debut print series East Album. Today, he lives and works in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture. Ronin Gallery is pleased to present a selection of both his silkscreens and lithographs from a single-owner collection.
