About the artist
Ling Junwu was a contemporary Chinese printmaker best known for interpretations of Suzhou's legendary gardens. Born in Suzhou City in 1962, Ling graduated from the Art Department of Nanjing Normal University in Jiangsu before going on to the Printmaking Department of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. Ultimately, he returned to Suzhou and the gardens that served as such a strong inspiration throughout his career. A member fo the Chinese Printmakers' Association, his works have been exhibited internationally and can be found in institutions such as the China National Art Museum and Arenys Art Museum, Spain.
