Printed between 1901 and 1903, the series One Hundred Beauties portrays women’s fashions, pastimes, and customs throughout various periods of Japanese history. Whether conversing on terraces, strolling through gardens, reading, writing, or painting, Shodo's Meiji woodblock prints invite an intimate look into a "seemingly idyllic life."
